We’re thrilled to share the 2024 Rosemary’s Pantry Grant recipients! This year, we’ve awarded $23,250 to nine remarkable schools and community organizations dedicated to combating student and youth hunger.

Just Friends Food Bank

“Grab + Go Breakfast”

This program offers free, daily breakfast options to school-age children in the greater Stanley area, three mornings a week through the Resource Centre.

Backpacks are the Best

“Lakeland Industries/Lakeland Resource Centre”

Provides ready-to-eat, nutritious food to school-age children and young adults living in food-insecure environments for the weekends.

Fueling Minds, Feeding Futures

“Fueling Minds, Feeding Futures”

Supports families by providing monthly produce bags and free weekly hot lunches to students facing food security issues, ensuring equal access to nutritious meals.

Fredericton Public Library

“Downtown Community Fridge + Nashwaaksis Snack Program”

Offers free access to healthy snacks and beverages, supplementing other community programs.

Chipman Youth Centre

“Let's Fill Their Bellies to Inspire Their Minds”

Fills community garden boxes with vegetables to provide high school students with healthy, low-cost lunches like soup and sandwiches.

Lincoln Elementary Community School

“Empowering Kids, One Breakfast at a Time”

A daily breakfast program involving parents, volunteers, and students, offering smoothies, toast, bagels, and pancakes.

Grant Awarded: $2,750

Harvey High School

“Healthy Learners, Healthy Minds”

Runs a universal daily breakfast program serving 50-75 students and aims to support and educate about nutritious lunch options due to growing demand.

Chipman Forest Avenue School

“School Breakfast Enhancement and Backpack Program”

Expand the existing breakfast program to serve more students and offer additional breakfast options.
