Rosemary’s Pantry Grants
Rosemary’s Pantry Grants were established in 2014 through a generous donation by Rosemary McCain-McMillin. In 2024, we distributed $23,250 in grants to help support the community's need to feed hungry school-aged youth.
Through these grants, eligible organizations in the community can apply for funding to develop creative and impactful solutions to the dilemma of youth hunger in the greater Fredericton region. We encourage applications that:
Bring value to existing community resources through partnerships, strong program design, implementation, and evaluation.
Demonstrate the ability to provide a sustainable project that can last after the initial funding is used.
Engage, inspire, and empower participants at every step of the journey.
The following types of organizations are eligible for a grant from the Fredericton Community Foundation:
A registered Canadian charity
A registered Canadian Amateur Athletic association
A Canadian municipality in the greater Fredericton region
Her Majesty in right of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick and agents thereof (Federal and Provincial Government and Agencies such as schools)
The following activities are ineligible for a grant from the Fredericton Community Foundation:
Political and religious activities (this does not preclude religious organizations from applying if they are delivering a project/program to the community that is not religious or faith-based)
Fundraising campaigns
Core operating expenses unless it is critical to mission delivery
Deficit financing or the retirement of debt
