Empowering Community: $296,685 Awarded to Eight Community Service Organizations
The Charlotte Street Arts Centre has been supporting budding artists and the arts community in Fredericton for nearly 20 years. The Fredericton Community Foundation has been a key partner for much of that time, providing a $4,000 Community Grant in 2022 to support the center’s ArtReach programs.
This fund is a collaboration between the Canadian Red Cross, Community Foundations of Canada, and United Way Centraide Canada to fund community service organizations, including non-profit organizations, indigenous governing bodies, or registered charities in Canada. The Community Services Recovery Fund responds to what community service organizations need right now and supports organizations as they adapt to the long-term impacts of the pandemic.
The Fredericton Community Foundation is supporting the following registered charities, serving as vital parts of our community in the greater Fredericton region:
Digital Accessibility: Internal Systems & Process Improvements, Beaverbrook Art Gallery | $62,500
Strengthening connections through enhanced online communications, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fredericton and Oromocto, Inc. | $33,000
Advancing How We Deliver Services, Family Enrichment and Counselling Services (Fredericton) Inc. | $20,000
Donor Management, Fredericton Arts & Learning, Inc. (Charlotte Street Arts Centre) | $16,500

Non-Profit Data Collaboration; The Community Prosperity Hub, Greater Fredericton Social Innovation | $100,000
In partnership with these organizations, we're forging a stronger community that evolves, adapts, and thrives, no matter the circumstances. As we collectively move towards a brighter future, their resiliency reminds us that the heart of a community beats strongest in times of challenge.
The Community Services Recovery Fund is a one-time investment from the Government of Canada of $400 million to help community service organizations adapt, modernize, and be better equipped to improve the efficacy, accessibility, and sustainability of the community services they provide through the pandemic recovery and beyond.
