FCF Welcomes Katie Beers as Communications & Program Coordinator
The Fredericton Community Foundation is delighted to welcome Katie Beers as our Communications and Program Coordinator. According to Executive Director, Kate Rogers, "After a competitive hiring process, Katie stood out because of her direct experience in the local community. Her program development knowledge will be a great asset to our organization as we expand our work with donors and charities."
Katie brings a wealth of experience working and volunteering with non-profits across New Brunswick. Most recently, Katie worked for United Way Central where she managed their communications and community impact programs. Katie will continue to enhance FCF events and communications while also leading the development of our programs.
Originally from Moncton, Katie moved to Fredericton in 2013 to attend UNB where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Law in Society. During her time at UNB, Katie worked as a Recruitment Assistant in the Faculty of Arts and served as the Vice President External with the UNB Student Union.
As an active community member and volunteer, Katie believes in the power of community programs and collaboration. “I’m incredibly excited to join the Fredericton Community Foundation and continue to help grow the capacity of our community. I am eager to work with staff, Board and volunteers to contribute to our beautiful city”, says Katie Beers. Rogers concurs, “We’re all looking forward to having Katie on the Foundation team, continuing to enhance our efforts in our community."
