EDWARD (BUD) HOGAN MEMORIAL FUND

In loving memory of Edward “Bud” Hogan

Bud relished connecting with people. His approach to life was straightforward and honest. Whatever he had, he was always willing to share — be it his home, his possessions, his time, or the money in his pocket. Simply put, Bud was a gem.

The bursary established in Bud’s name will be known as ‘A Fine Art Start’ and will go to a student in financial need who is looking to attend a Fine Arts program at a post-secondary education institution.

The family has chosen to establish this fund for a number of reasons. A passion for the arts runs throughout the Hogan/Losier families both at the amateur and professional levels. Bud’s mother, Heloise, was an accomplished pianist and piano teacher. Bud always wanted to learn to play the piano; his brother was a nationally recognized and celebrated political cartoonist; and one of Bud’s daughters (Danielle) is a visual artist, and (as with so many of us) Bud absolutely loved getting lost in films.

Any and all donations to this fund, today and in the future, are enormously appreciated and will go directly to support students looking to follow their hearts into the Arts.
