The Game-Changer Grant is our largest annual grant, created to help local charities bring bold, innovative ideas to life. Each year, up to $30,000 in start-up funding is awarded to one project with the potential to make a big impact in the greater Fredericton region.
What’s New This Year?
We’ve simplified the process! Instead of a lengthy application, we’re starting with a short Expression of Interest (EOI).
• Just 6 core questions about your idea, its impact, and your goals
• A high-level budget
• A partner letter (if applicable)
That’s it. Quick, easy, and designed to make applying more accessible, so you can focus on sharing your big idea.
What We’re Looking For
We want to hear from you if your project is:
• Addressing a local need in a bold, creative way
• Ready to launch, pilot, or test a new concept
• Built to make a lasting impact, and grow over time
• Strengthened by partnerships and community collaboration
• Clear about goals, reach, and budget
Ready to apply? Here’s how it works:
1. Application Period: Submit your application between September 15th and October 3th through our online grant portal. Be sure to complete your submission by midnight on October 3th.
2. Project Presentation: If your application is shortlisted, we’ll invite you to present your project to our Grantmaking Committee. This is your chance to showcase your vision and explain how your project will make an impact.
3. Notification & Funding: The successful applicant will be announced in November, and funding will be disbursed on January 1st. The funds must be fully used by December 31st of the same year.
